Colby & Olivia; A Vermont End of Summer Wedding
Colby and Olivia’s wedding was the perfect way to close out the summer. You would never guess that this wasn’t the original plan for Colby and Olivia’s big day. They were, like many other 2020 couples expecting a much larger guest list and a completely different venue. But, when life gives you 2020… Plans change! They were determined to get married this year, and with Olivia and Colby’s pro-level coordinating skills and some great friends and family they made it happen and it was stunning! We had a drought pretty much everyday this summer except for the day of the wedding. Of course it called for rain all day, they say rain is good luck on your wedding day and I tend to agree but as a bride, is there any worse news than rain on the day of your outdoor wedding? On my ride up to Vermont, I saw the sun peek through the clouds between showers and I was keeping my fingers crossed that it would show up later in the day for Colby and Olivia. When we arrived, friends and family were putting up the tent, setting up the table and putting the finishing touches up for the ceremony. Olivia was checking the weather radar. Getting ready was a blast with this crew and due to a sprinkle we stayed on the beautiful covered porch for some portraits for the bridesmaids while the guys waited in the barn for the ceremony to begin. Colby walked down the isle with best friend, their pup Ozzy and their other adorable pup Pearl was accompanied but one of the beautiful bridesmaids. Olivia looked stunning walking down with her Mom and Dad. Then… the rain stopped. It stayed cloudy through formal photos and then while the guests were enjoying the taco truck… The clouds parted and we had gorgeous beautiful sun for golden hour! We pulled Colby and Olivia out for portraits and then they had the most amazing reception ever, the dance floor was jam packed all night. I couldn’t possibly include all the amazing shots we captured but here are some of my favorites from the day. Congratulations again Colby and Olivia!!
